Are you an MRCEM OSCE aspirant aiming to take the exam this July at the Hyderabad centre? If so, you must act quickly, as the booking window for the exam is about to close soon. According to the RCEM official website information, the last dat e for submitting the application is 23 April, 2025. Note that the booking window will close at 4:00 PM UK time on that date.

MRCEM OSCE July 2025: Exam pattern
The MRCEM OSCE exam is designed to evaluate aspirants’ practical and clinical skills across various emergency medicine scenarios. Candidates will rotate through a series of stations, each focusing on different competencies. Here is a quick overview of the exam.
- Exam format: Objective Structured Clinical Exam
- Sections: 16 stations
- Exam duration: 2 hours, 42 minutes (16 stations, each 8 minutes long, with 1-minute reading time and 2 rest stations)
MRCEM OSCE: Eligibility criteria
The aspirants must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for the MRCEM OSCE.
- Have a primary medical qualification accepted by the GMC (General Medical Council)
- Have current full medical registration with a valid licence to practise.
- Possess six months of full-time equivalent (FTE) emergency medicine experience above foundation training or its equivalent (post-full registration experience).
- Have successfully passed both Primary and SBA exams.
