The membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine is a highly prestigious qualification sought after by medical professionals who are passionate about working in the emergency departments. - MRCEM Primary: May 2025 session
Applications open on 17 February 2025 and close on 24 February 2025.
Exam date: 13 May 2025
Results will be released on 17 June 2025.
- MRCEM Primary: October 2025 session
Applications open on 21 July 2025 and close on 28 July 2025.
Exam date: 28 October 2025
Results will be released on 10 December 2025.
The exam will be held at test centres worldwide in both sessions.
How to apply for MRCEM Primary
First of all, you need to create an RCEM account on the RCEM website to apply for the MRCEM Primary. On there, you can check the upcoming exam dates, apply, and pay the exam fee. Remember that you will need documents confirming your internship, medical degree, and any other qualifications you may have to apply. On top of that, you must provide details of your employment history, including which hospital you worked at and whether it was full time or part time.
Exam applications must be submitted online when the application window opens. A link to the application form will be made online at 10 am, UK time, on the application window opening date and will close at 4 pm on the mentioned closing date.
